If people know the problem that affects them, they will simply take the necessary measures to not continue damaging and will demand to their goverment representatives and companies, the necessary changes to force companies to be friendlier to the oceans.
A person with the precise information achieves changes in the consumption habits of society, thereby protecting endangered species from overfishing. Blue Water Society he gives talks and conferences in schools, institutions, business associations in different countries alerting, informing and exposing the problem facing the oceans at present.

VISIT TO LA SALLE SCHOOL IN SANTIAGO DE LOS CABALLEROS
On Thursday, September 20, Blue Water Society visited the traditional La Salle School in Santiago de los Caballeros to carry out the national campaign “Caring for Our Oceans”
Young people from the secondary level looked closely at the problems of ocean pollution and then worried about the situation began to propose simple solutions available to everyone.
In Blue Water Society we continue touching hearts for a positive change, we know that it is possible. Together we can save what’s left of the oceans and preserve it for future generations. This is a war of all that we must win if we want to have a future as a species. This is our only planet and everything we do to take care of it is little. The oceans need you, act now. NO MORE PLASTICS !!!

VISIT THE POLYTECHNICAL INSTITUTE . «NUESTRA SEÑORA DE LAS MERCEDES»
The Blue Water Society Foundation visited Nuestra Señora de las Mercedes Polytechnic Institute with our national awareness campaign «CARING FOR OUR OCEANS»
On this occasion Dan Morgan Portillo, President of Blue Water Society spoke with 200 young people about the state of the oceans and especially the pollution of coastal resources in the Dominican Republic. After appreciating the current state of the oceans, young women have proposed solutions that are available to everyone and that demonstrates that caring for the oceans is only a matter of good will.
The meeting was very emotional and the students have decided to get down to work in a change of forceful attitude that will surely help the oceans to be a little less polluted. There is everyone’s promise to go to a future beach cleaning in the near future.

VISITA A LA CASA DE ARTE, SOSÚA, PUERTO PLATA
La campaña «CUIDANDO NUESTROS OCEÁNOS» visitó el 06 de Abril LA CASA DE ARTE en Sosúa, Republica Dominicana. La visita tuvo la oportunidad de compartir nuestro trabajo de concienciación con la exposición «Bahía Indomita» del artista local Osiris Salomón Santos. Fue una experiencia diferente y por demás interesante abordar el cuidado de la vida marina y la contaminación desde dos puntos de vistas diferentes pero con el objetivo común de la preservación de la vida marina.

El 26 de Enero nuestra campaña educativa «CUIDADO NUESTROS OCÉANOS» llegó al COLEGIO DOMINICANO donde hicimos nuestro video-debate sobre la situación actual de la vida marina y los jovenes entusiasmados se animaron a plantear soluciones y cambios de conducta para salvar la vida marina.

VISITA AL INSTITUTO POLITÉCNICO «LA ESPERANZA»
Estuvimos en el Colegio Politécnico La Esperanza en la Ciudad de Santiago de los Caballeros donde estuvimos dando nuestras charlas de concientización “CUIDANDO NUESTROS OCÉANOS”. La jornada se realizó en ambiente entretenido, con muchas inquietudes de los jóvenes interesados por conocer más sobre cómo cuidar mejor nuestros océanos. Ecología, biología marina, reciclaje, vida náutica, fueron algunos de los temas hablados.
El tiempo nos resulto corto y quedaron ganas de seguir ante tantas preguntas y el buen ambiente generado. Prometemos volver pronto al Politécnico La Esperanza pero la próxima será visitando al turno mañana.
